Refund Policy

General policy
All purchases made on TheBuildShield — including Pro subscriptions, Starter credits, and Founder lifetime access — are generally non-refundable. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
We encourage you to explore the free tier before purchasing. The free tier is available without a credit card and gives you a meaningful preview of the Service.
Exceptional circumstances
We understand that exceptional situations arise. We may, at our sole discretion, consider a refund request in the following limited circumstances:
- Duplicate charge — you were charged more than once for the same purchase due to a technical error on our platform.
- Service unavailability — the Service was inaccessible for an extended continuous period (exceeding 72 hours) due to issues on our end, and you were unable to use what you paid for.
- Unauthorised transaction — you have credible evidence that your account was accessed without your authorisation and the purchase was made fraudulently.
Refund requests under these circumstances must be submitted within 7 days of the transaction date. We will review each case individually and respond within 5 business days.
What is not eligible
- Change of mind after purchase
- Credits or features that have already been used
- Accounts suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service
- Requests submitted after 7 days of the transaction date
- Dissatisfaction with analysis results or cost estimates (which are approximations)
Pro subscription cancellation
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from the Settings page. Cancellation stops future billing immediately. Access to Pro features continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused days in a billing cycle.
How to request a review
If you believe your situation qualifies under the exceptional circumstances above, email support@thebuildshield.com with your registered email address, the transaction ID (available in Settings → Billing), and a brief description of the circumstances. We will respond within 5 business days.
