Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using TheBuildShield ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. TheBuildShield is operated from India and serves users worldwide. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

TheBuildShield is an AI cost analytics platform. Users may upload AI chat exports or API usage data to receive token counts, cost estimates, and optimization recommendations. All uploaded data is processed in memory and is not retained after analysis is complete.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@thebuildshield.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Plans and billing

The Service offers a free tier and paid plans. Paid plans are subject to the following:

• Pro subscription — billed monthly, renews automatically. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Starter — one-time purchase of report credits that do not expire.
• Founder — one-time payment for lifetime access to all Pro features.

All prices are displayed in USD. Users outside India may be subject to local taxes or bank fees applied by their payment provider; these are not collected by us.

6. Free tier limits

Free accounts receive a limited number of analysis credits per month. These credits reset monthly and do not accumulate. We reserve the right to adjust free tier limits at any time with reasonable notice.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use automated scripts or bots to bulk-upload files or make API requests beyond your plan limits
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service
• Resell, sublicense, or transfer access to the Service to any third party
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law
• Upload files containing malicious code or attempts to exploit our infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

8. Intellectual property

All content, design, and code comprising the Service are the intellectual property of TheBuildShield. You retain ownership of any data you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your uploaded data solely for the purpose of providing analysis results to you.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that cost estimates will be perfectly accurate. Cost figures are approximations for informational purposes only.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TheBuildShield and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, where applicable. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a notice on the site. Your continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
